Concordia Heimarck College of Health Professions

“After continued growth and interest in their health professions programs, Concordia College made the decision to invest in the programs and their students by constructing the College of Health Professions. This building brings the nursing, healthcare leadership, social work, nutrition/dietetics and exercise science departments.

This new building was designed to offer state-of-the-art learning labs for students. There are four specialized lab spaces equipped with simulation technology, peer observation and review, and practice stations. The labs simulate real-world experiences that the students will face when they enter the workforce, this allows them to practice and hone their skills in a safe, controlled environment where their professors and peers can offer helpful feedback and support as needed.

The building will also house 13 offices, 10 breakout/huddle spaces for students, a boardroom with seating space for 16, a 48-student classroom with technology wall, a bodpod room for quickly checking patient vials and health screenings, a storage/moulage room to support realistic simulations, a med dispenser station, nursing station, and two large skylights that help bring natural light to the entire space including the lower underground level.”
