Ed Clapp Elementary

Built for a growing district in Fargo, this K-5 grade school was designed for four classrooms per grade, and a 550 students capacity. It includes separate rooms for art, music, and 16 smaller rooms for small-group or one-on-one sessions for special education students and English Language Learners.

The existing site was over-excavated due to soil corrections that needed to be completed. This building consists of structural masonry load-bearing wall systems and structural steel roof and joists. Finishes in the commons were upgraded with terrazzo flooring and burnished block masonry walls. The gym area also has burnish block walls up 8′ and a urethane epoxy floor coating.
